CHILDRENS ACTIVITES
Visit the ScrapMobile! Children get to create free of charge, thanks to our sponsor Schoolcraft College!  They provide children with a creative experience using recycled industrial scraps to actively involve them in learning, increase their confidence and encourage independent thinking!  At this years' Art in the Park, kids can make Flowers or Monsters on a stick.  They are both created using sticky foam shapes, recycled from gaskets makers which are perched atop a paint stick.  Decorated with colorful doo-dads, then dipped in sand, they make a bright, cheerful summertime craft.  The bus will be located on Penniman across from the Penn Theater.
Even though the building is closed the DIA will be as active as ever. By partnering with Detroit-area art fairs and festivals throughout the summer, DIA staff and volunteers will be spreading the good news about their grand opening, while letting kids &adults explore their creative sides at drop-in workshops.  Plymouth Art In The Park was chosen as one of the locations to do a workshop!  So stop by their tent in Kellogg Park and make your own Japanese Paper fan.
D.A.R.E. teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.  They will be offering FREE children's ID cards & safety coloring books at Art In The Park.
